Assistive Technology for Creative Work

This is a collaborative project with National Star College and Scope's Beaumont College investigating the potential of different technologies to support creative work for disabled students.

The work to date has involved both short term studies (e.g. testing devices such as Enpathia with physically impaired students) and longitudinal field studies where we have left technology with staff and students to explore and evaluate over extended periods of time.

For instance, we have been working in partnership with National Star College to examine the use of eye gaze tracking for creative visual work (i.e. pixel art) and learning music (playing chords on a virtual guitar).

We have collected a large amount of data from the studies conducted and are currently analysing and writing up the core themes and findings.
